Baccarat Techniques
Theory suggests that Baccarat can prove to be a possible source of income
for the more discerned players. According to the theory known as card tracking,
which relies on the notion that human shuffling cannot be completely random,
it is possible to determine the order of the cards. Card tracking suggests
that shuffling done be people can be haphazard and not comprehensive. This
in turn allows the possibility that some of the order of cards from the previous
round may be preserved. As a result, the shuffled deck may maintain certain
sequences of cards that occurred during the previous set. This issue is more
acute in games requiring the use of multiple decks. In these cases, it is even
more difficult to randomize the cards through shuffling. Therefore, a seasoned
card tracker learns to analyze the cards, not in the order that they are dealt,
but rather in the order they are discarded by the players into the pile. This
helps the player to predict the order of the cards and which will appear on
his/ her turn.
Another way to determine the cards is through the system known as warping.
Certain casinos re-use their decks regularly. This results in general use of
the cards. Consequently, a number become bent and slightly disfigured and torn.
These 'warped' cards allow observant players to guess the value of the various
cards. By observing and remembering the unique characteristics on each card,
a player can identify which cards his/her opponent is holding.
