Gaming Laboratories International Approves Use Of P2P Console Game

The P2P console software that is currently being made available through Progressive Gaming International Corporation's new World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em has gained approval from Gaming Laboratories International. Progressive Gaming International now expects to gain placement soon of their consoles in Harrah’s casinos.

A limited exclusive license agreement made available to Progressive Gaming by Harrah’s Licensing Company, LLC, has granted the company the right to develop the World Series of Poker brand in the form of a gaming product that is systems based.

There are many features in this game that you would find in an Internet type poker game and that includes the ability to wager with a cashless account, the opportunity to select an option allowing you to play multiple tables/tournaments concomitantly and the capability for a player to check out their account history, which includes a summary of games played recently, along with a statistical breakdown of how they played.

Through the use of the multi-player poker system it is possible for participating patrons to compete one against the other through use of a secure real time intranet server. This allows access to an unlimited number of tables as well as a variety of configurations and poker limits. At the same time the play is being tracked and there is an accounting of eligible promotions within the basis of the existing player rewards system.

With the introduction of this software it is no longer necessary for poker players to be physically located at a poker table. In fact they can now play the World Series of Poker “Peer to Peer” Texas Hold’em at a number of locations throughout a casino. This includes the bars, restaurants or even lounges, and they can play against players who are located at the same site as they are or at any number of multiple properties.

The Senior Vice President of Global Sports and Wireless Operations for Progressive Gaming, Derek Harmer, has commented that the server based gaming system for the World Series of Poker ‘Peer to Peer’ Texas Hold’em game allows operators the opportunity to generate added gambling revenues without having to replace existing gaming units that are already located on their casino floors. Through the use of this product you actually experience the excitement of an Internet poker room but still within the borders of a regulated casino. Through the use of this server based software it is possible for operators to leverage their available casino floor space, space that in the past was not available to them for gaming use such as bars and lounges or even restroom areas.
