Centrebet.com Full Year Results Indicate Strong Growth Achieved

The end of year figures to June 2007 have been released by Australian bookmaker Centrebet this week. According to the report, revenues have jumped from $47 million Australian dollars to $58.9 million since 2006 - an increase of 26 percent. EBITDA figures also marked growth of 45 percent to $14.5 million. The company's pre-tax profits also rose from two million in 2006 to a staggering $12.5 million with the net profit after tax reported at $11.8 million. Centrebet's poker and casino revenues have risen 85 percent to $11.86 million. This figure represents the $4.7 million collected on poker while the remainder was earned from the firm's range of casino games. The figure has been welcomed by Centrebet's management and investors alike. In May 2007 the company lost valuable internet time due to technical problems associated with its new Orbis-Openbet platform. In terms of marketing, $7.4 million was spent. $1.5 million of this went toward customer retention, which was responsible for an extra $4.8 million in revenue.
